Galley Bay Resort and Spa « back

Exotic, All Inclusive, Adults Only.  Do I even need to continue?

This resort in Antigua is beachfront and offers Tahitian inspired cottages.  You can see by the picture posted to the left, there is an immediate sense of calm at this resort.  Some may say that calming feeling is due to the design of the resort, while others may argue it is because of the intimate size of the property.  Yet no matter which side you agree with, I think we can all agree that the resort can, and will, provide you the calm your body desires.   There is an overwhleming sense of knowing you are officially on vacation the moment you enter this resort.

Why should you go? Here's why..

Looking for a more intimate resort with only 98 rooms and suites and a more personalized service? Look no further.  Of their 98 rooms, they offer:

-          Gauguin Cottages: Thatched cottages surrounded by gardens but they also have private "splash pools" and a deck.  Very cute!

Gaugin Cottage Galley Bay

-          Superior Beachfront Rooms: The terraces in these rooms lead right to the beach.  Notice in the right hand corner of the room how it goes right out towards the water

Beachfront Galley Bay

-          Deluxe Beachfront Rooms: Direct access to the beach WITH a sea view

Deluxe Beachfront Galley Bay

-          Premium Beachfront Suites: These offer a living room area and a patio or balcony with a sea view. You are also allowed to ask for a rollaway in this category as 3 adults are allowed in these rooms.  All other categories have a maximum occupancy of 2.

One of my favorite things here is that since the water is so calm, they offer paddle boarding as an included non-motorized watersport.  This is an awesome workout but so cool to float across the water on two feet.

Now that you've seen the rooms, lets talk food.  Even though there are only 98 rooms, there are plenty of options for dining.

SeaGrape offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also allows you to take in some beautiful views while dining.  Unlike some resorts that make you eat inside and miss out on the stunning sunrises and sunsets, SeaGrape allows you to enjoy some fine cuisine while never missing the opportunity to snap that beautiful ocean picture.

Gaugin offers lunch and dinner and will allow you to dine under individual thatched roofs.  On a beautiful caribbean night, this is the the place to be.  The menu here rotates so check with the restaurant during the day to see which menu will be offered that night.

Ismay's overlooks the beach offers dinner with a caribbean fused menu.

Barefoot Grill is your go-to lunch spot if you want to dine on the beach.

Antigua is a beautiful island filled with some beautiful properties and this one is certainly one of those properties.  Time for a visit? I think all signs are pointing to ASAP.
